I was sitting quietly on a bench when a little girl sat beside me and started a friendly talk. And at the middle of it, I was caught off guard by a very unexpected question: 'bakit ka malungkot?' ('why are you sad?'). I was at loss for a reply so I just diverted her attention to different topic. Really... a child's innocent eyes can see through anything.
