the chains that bind
hold the feet no longer
yet with every step
the ringing, the clashing
echoes on forever

Letrato
What’s in a picture? The colors? The faces? The sceneries?

Karinate Star

Friday, October 21, 2011
Karina,

Do you know what carina is? It's a sternal bone in birds. It helps the birds in their flight, providing leverage. Some birds don't have it, that's why there are flightless birds.

Carina is also a constellation. It has the second brightest star in the night sky, 'Canopus'.

There may be shooting stars... But there's also a 'Flying Star'...

Once and Nevermore

Walking in a shoreline trodden by tears
Makes it not a wonder
Why the sea is salty
And sometimes even bitter.

With every step
It disappears behind
Leaving not a trace
To grace the memory of time.

To think
Of what came before
This filthy pair of feet
Of the thousands that drowned.

Makes it a wonder
Why the ocean
So calm and serene
In dusk’s full grandeur.

Flashback

Saturday, October 15, 2011

This is a picture of the roof inside the room where I stayed in while boarding in my previous boarding house. This part of the roof is exactly within the area above my bed (its a double deck bed and mine is the top one). Whenever it rains, I get soaked. It started with little drizzles but it eventually worsened, ending up like a kid's flowing urine (it's also yellowish since the roof is old and dirty). Fortunately, the water ends up only in one end of the bed and not in the middle. I just huddle myself up to avoid getting wet when it rains. My landlady knows about it, but never really did anything about it. She just told me to switch rooms whenever it rains. But I never did so since I find it a hassle, especially since I'm a student and I don't like to move my things back and forth as rain starts and ends.
